Nice change of pace this week. A fellow Anglophile I am reminded of this quote:

“…This happy breed of men, this little world, This precious stone set in the silver sea, Which serves it in the office of a wall Or as a moat defensive to a house, Against the envy of less happier lands,–This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England.”-Shakespeare

Ah! You recognized the beautiful speech The Bard gave to John of Gaunt in "Richard II" - one of the greatest in the English language, seconded only by Henry V's St. Crispin's Day at Agincourt. Of course, we know that these historical men were glamorized or demonized (QED Richard III) by the world's greatest playwright (propaganda is as old as the hieroglyphs), and that doesn't give me confidence in how the world will see current events long after you and I are dead. For all we know, Shakespeare's words are today's equivalent of "Brawndo has electrolytes". But thanks, Norris!
